With Hawker-style stalls from some of Melbourne’s finest food creators including Chin Chin, Kong and Bang Pop, the flavors and aromas of Asian street food hit the grassy banks of the Yarra for the return of the Night Noodle Markets during Good Food Month 2014. As they say, good food and good eating is about balance, so for all of the savory delectables on offer, where were the sweets?
Enter St Ali, renowned for their artisanal coffee brews and banging deserts (this time including interpretations of the iconic Affogato and Bombolone). As self-confessed foodies and coffee tragics, this is one of the tastiest projects we’ve worked on for some time. Working closely with the St Ali crew to celebrate their Church of Secular Coffee, a humble Pop Up Chapel of timber, corrugated iron and bull-nosed weatherboards was born.
So much flavor, so much fun.
